Army x Blood x Oath

From NU: Carnival Guides
Army x Blood x Oath
April 12, 2023 - May 04, 2023
Event Allies:
✦ Smoked Timber Quincy
✦ Forgotten Fruit Garu
✦ Crystal Awakening Blade

First Floor: Monster Raid

Slime Enemies

  • Fire Element Primed to Pounce Wolf (12,221 HP)
  • Light Element Unswerving Soldier (12,221 HP)
  • Water Element Primed to Pounce Wolf (12,221 HP)
  • Dark Element Unswerving Soldier (12,221 HP)
  • Wood Element Primed to Pounce Wolf (12,221 HP)

Allies Team Recommendations

  • Team Setup: 1 healer, 3 strikers, open slot
    • AoE is good! Be sure to bring quick ultimates to balance the damage needed. If you can handle it, 2 AoE strikers and 2 strong ST ultimate fighters or those with a quick cooldown will make this easy.
    • If you are having difficulty surviving, then you may use a guardian in place of one of the strikers.

Deed Stage Tips

  • Wolves: Damage is increased by 50% when less than 997 and reduced by 33% when greater than. You want to hit lower in this case (Basic Attacks!).
  • Soldiers: Damage is reduced by 75% when less than 997 and increased by 60% when greater than. You want to hit higher in this case (Ultimates!).
  • Wolves ultimate at the end of turn 4, and every 3 turns.
  • The wolves will also use a special skill that has the potential to paralyze at turn 5, and every 5 turns.
    • They will attempt to target the slot they are in (Fire - 1, Water - 3, Wood - 5). You can taunt this away if you have a guardian.
  • Soldiers ultimate at the end of turn 6 with an aoe, and every 3 turns.
  • At the end of turn 8, the wolves and soldiers will use a joint aoe attack. This means every enemy will attack, so you should guard for this turn if you can't handle it.
  • Note these attacks may move a turn forward if an enemy is killed!
  • Every enemy you kill will make the party power up and use special attacks with guard break, so AoE attackers will help you avoid this happening on multiple turns.
  • Your goal is hopefully to use an AoE unit(s) to remove the wolves all at the same time, and then use your ultimates to get rid of the soldiers.

Second Floor: Meaning of Life

Slime Enemies

  • Dark Element Duty Bound General (47,618 HP)
  • Light Element Fantasy Wolf (49,781 HP)
  • Wood Element Fantasy Wolf (49,781 HP)

Allies Team Recommendations

  • Team Setup: 1 healer, 1 guardian, 2 strikers, open slot
    • You need a guardian for this, and at least 2 attackers
    • Bring a unit with guard break if you cannot kill the wood wolf quickly

Deed Stage Tips

  • The general cannot be damaged until the wolves are removed, so focus on them first.
  • Elements don't matter on the wolves.
  • The general will give your vanguards (strikers and saboteurs) attack boosts BUT you are not allowed to guard with them or else they will gain a huge attack decrease (150% ATK).
  • The general will grant your wardens (guardians) a skill to let them shield the whole party on an ultimate, but they will take true damage, so make certain you have over 40% health before you use your guardian.
  • General aoe ultimates at the end of turn 4 (every 3 turns).
  • Wolves ultimate at the end of turn 5, and they'll make you take 20% more damage from their specific element if they hit you. This repeats every 4 turns.
  • At the end of turn 7, light wolf will use diversion (his skill list is the diversion and tricks you), and the following turn he will hit slots 2/4. If this repeats again light wolf will do 1/3/5 the next time, then return to 2/4 and so on.
    • Please note you should not guard strikers/saboteurs or else they may lose all their damage, so try to either place them strategically or use a guardian to taunt and shield them instead.
  • On the same turn, wood wolf will use an abrasive maneuver and need to be paralyzed with a guard break so he does not aoe and kill you (or you can kill him too).
  • After the wolves are down the general needs to be brought to 1%. The same turn the wolves are down, he will hit you hard with an aoe attack, so you need to use a guardian ultimate on this turn (or make certain your party is all over 3900ish HP).
  • Make certain you are healed for the turn after since he will reduce your HP down to ~10%.

Third Floor: Commander's True Duty

Slime Enemies

  • Water Element Mighty Protector Garu (72,012 HP)
  • Water Element Camp Defender Quincy (60,285 HP)
  • Fire Element Lost Vanguard Blade (71,158 HP)

Allies Team Recommendations

  • Team Setup: 1 healer, 3 strikers, open slot
    • Make certain you bring a until with a 3T cooldown, or an AoE unit to get around taunt

Deed Stage Tips

  • Blade can't be hit at the start, so you need to prioritize Garu and Quincy.
  • Quincy will need to be damaged on turn 4 to prevent a strong ultimate. Garu taunts this turn, so be prepared with either an ultimate skill or aoe to be able to damage Quincy.
  • After this turn, Garu will hit hard and Blade will also do an aoe attack.
  • Quincy and Garu will take 50% more ultimate damage on turn 6 and 7. Quincy will taunt at this point for one turn, but do not kill him during this phase or you will lose the battle. You should guard during his taunt instead.
  • At the end of turn 7 Blade will hit slot 2 and 4 hard, be sure to guard these two slots and have them healed properly.
  • The above sequence will continue to repeat until Quincy and Garu are both defeated, so keep your ultimates ready for Garu's taunt.
  • Blade can be brought to 1% after both are down at 1%.
  • Quincy taunts the turn after, then they start attacking each other. Make sure you guard the team whenever Quincy taunts to avoid the next skill (you can't damage Quincy anyway).
  • You get hit with aoe bleed, so be careful!
  • Please note Blade has a special ultimate that he will use if you use ultimates of strikers, saboteurs, and/or guardians 7 times. This means you need to plan your ultimate use carefully! Healers and buffers do not count toward this switch.
