From NU: Carnival Guides
Gambler's Paradise
August 10, 2023 - August 31, 2023
Event Allies:
✦ Scarlet Finesse Aster
✦ Mauve Mayhem Morvay

High Stakes 01 "Escape to Survival"

Slime Enemies

  • Water Element Fleeing Gambler (18,264 HP)
  • Wood Element Cheating Gambler (18,264 HP)

Allies Team Recommendations

  • 1 Healer, 1 Buffer, 2-3 DPS
    • A guardian or someone that you can guard with frequently in slot 3.

Deed Stage Tips

  • Slot 3 will be granted a large shield at the beginning of the battle. If the shield is broken, your party will be eliminated, so make certain to defeat the enemies quickly or guard this slot to prolong the battle.
  • Focus on defeating the wood gambler first since he has the damaging ultimate skills. You do not have to beat them at the same time.
  • The water gambler will hit slots 1/2/3 each turn, while the wood gambler will hit slots 3/4/5 each turn.
  • At the end of turn 4, the water gambler will gain a skill concerning the wood gambler. Slot 3 will also be targeted for the following turn, and the wood gambler will gain +500% ATK for the next two turns.
    • Hit the water gambler with an ultimate on turn 5 to paralyze the wood gambler.
    • If the wood gambler is dead, the water gambler will be paralyzed instead.
    • This repeats at the end of turn 10/16/etc.
  • At the end of turn 5, the water gambler will hit the first three slots as usual, but also inflicts a permanent "take 2.5% more damage" debuff.
  • At the end of turn 6, the wood gambler will hit the last three slots as usual, but also inflicts a permanent "take 2.5% more damage" debuff.
  • At the end of turn 7, the water gambler will inflict the first two slots with a silence immunity (this is not detrimental in any way).
  • At the end of turn 9, the water gambler will inflict the last two slots with a paralysis immunity (this is not detrimental in any way).
  • At the end of turn 12, the wood gambler will inflict the first two slots with a skill that lets you gain a silence immunity for 2 turns if you guard (this does not appear necessary).
  • At the end of turn 14, the wood gambler will inflict the last two slots with a skill that lets you gain a paralysis immunity for 2 turns if you guard (this does not appear necessary).
  • Note the skills inflicting immunity without guard are most likely bugs and intended to inflict the actual effect. This may be corrected later.

High Stakes 02 "Mad Familiar"

Slime Enemies

  • Dark Element Pursuit of Victory Leroy ( 57,038 HP -> 5,704 HP)

Allies Team Recommendations

  • 1 Buffer, 3-4 DPS
    • No healers! They do not work, and you will be granted a bloodsucking ability.
    • SR/SSR Kuya recovery down abilities are nullified so do not bring.
    • Quick ultimates are good, so SR/SSR Quincy are not recommended.

Deed Stage Tips

  • Leroy will reduce his health to 10% at the beginning of the battle. He will gain a permanent AoE bloodstucking ability, and grant the same skill to your party. Any healers will be given a -500% healing effect, so they cannot be used.
    • The goal is to bring him down to 1% while he continuously heals himself. Note his recovery cannot be stalled, so you need to outdamage his healing. He will leave at 1%.
    • If he reaches 100% HP, he will declare himself the winner and wipe the party.
  • On turn 1, you cannot damage Leroy at all, so guard.
  • At the end of turn 1, you will be hit by a powerful AoE ability and gain a bloodsucking ability of your own.
  • At the end of turn 4, Leroy will use a strong AoE. His recovery rate will increase for the next turn.
    • This repeats at the end of turn 7/12.
  • At the end of turn 5, Leroy will grant himself an ability that makes him take 33% less damage for 2 turns, and gain +300% ATK for two turns.
    • On turn 6, he will need to be hit with as many ultimates as possible. Each one will reduce his ATK -60% for two turns.
    • Note the skill says -15%, but it's actually -60%, therefore 5 will fully reduce his ATK.
    • This repeats at the end of turn 9.
  • At the end of turn 6, Leroy will hit a single target for massive damage. He will recover more HP than usual this and the following turn.
    • This repeats at the end of turn 10.

High Stakes 03 "Full Bonus"

Slime Enemies

  • Wave 1
    • Light Element Full Strength Aster (129,366 HP)
    • Fire Element Strong Desire Morvay (129,366 HP)
  • Wave 2
    • Light Element Essence Depletion Aster (25,873 HP)
    • Fire Element Desire Exhaustion Morvay (25,873 HP)

Allies Team Recommendations

  • 1 Healer, 1 Buffer, 2-3 DPS
    • Quick ultimates are useful, SSR/SR Quincy will be tricky.

Deed Stage Tips

  • Try to focus on only one enemy. Morvay is most likely the easiest target because he taunts frequently, but do not forget to avoid hitting him on turn 2 or to use ultimates on Aster when necessary.
    • If Morvay or Aster are defeated, the other will harm himself down to 10% of their current HP and gain a +500% ATK boost. They will continue to inflict this same status until they're defeated, so just finish the enemy off without worry.
  • At the end of turn 1, Morvay will gain a skill that will kill you if you hit him on the next turn.
    • Therefore, only attack Aster on turn 2!
  • At the end of turn 2, Morvay will stil hit you with a strong AoE attack. He also gains the bloodsucking ability, and a follow up AoE attack for the next two turns.
  • At the end of turn 4, Aster and Morvay will both use AoE ultimate attacks.
    • Aster gains the bloodsucking ability from this for 3 turns.
    • Morvay will taunt and counterattack any damage for the next turn. If you cannot handle his counters, guard on turn 5.
  • At the end of turn 5, Morvay will need to be hit with an ultimate to remove his taunt. Aster then needs to be hit with 2 ultimates to avoid his +500% ATK boost.
    • Make certain you have 3 ultimates ready for turn 6 to handle these skills!
  • At the end of turn 6, Aster will use a strong AoE ultimate on the party. If you reduced his damage, this should not hurt as badly.
  • The above skills all repeat in cycle, so make certain to save your ultimates appropriately.
  • For Wave 2, they will explode after talking, so don't worry!
