Multiple Status Effects exist in NU: Carnival. These will hinder your party and are often unavoidable unless you have gained a specific immunity at Potential 12 (6 for R units). Rarely, allies can inflict status effects of their own, but since most bosses are immune to more potent ones, they are not recommended.

Basic Status Effects

Effect Paralysis Paralysis

Unable to take any action until it expires.

Effect Silence Silence

Unable to use an ultimate skill until it expires.

Effect Sleep Sleep

Unable to act unless you are attacked. Be careful of attacking enemies when this is active!

Effect Bleed Turn-by-Turn Damage

Also known as Bleed, Poison, and Damage-Over-Time. The inflicted will take damage every turn until it expires.

Effect Taunt Taunt

Always targeted when taunt is applied. Typically used by a Guardian to take damage instead of other allies.

Effect CD Cooldown Change

The Ultimate cooldown timer can be changed by certain enemies and units.
